The original Godzilla (Gojira) the first in the giant radioactive amphibian series is a much more sober movie than its 20+ successor films.
Plot. Ships at sea start disappearing baffling Japanese scientists and military. Cut to Odo Island...a typhoon comes ashore destroying villages, but the villagers are convinced the bulk of the destruction was caused by a giant not-so-mythical creature. The government gets involved and launches an inquiry. Dr. Kyohei Yamane is dispatched to the island to investigate. While there Godzilla attacks.
Later, Godzilla surfaces in Tokyo Bay. There is pridictable panic and a plan is formed. The plan doesn't work when a few days later Godzilla decides to do some of his patented smashy-smashy on Tokyo. Fire, destruction and mayhem reign.
Star-crossed lovers Emiyko and Ogata convince reluctant Mad scientist Dr. Sarizawa to use his Oxygen Destroyer (A force he accidentially discovered) on the beast. The terrifying weapon is used and Godzilla reduced to bones. The end.
Toho Studios means Quality.

Godzilla in Japanese. I'm guessing.

The reason to have an "ANTI-GODZILLA HEADQUARTERS"

Who knew metaphors could be so destructive?

Emiyko wipes blood from her man's face. Pussy.

Never. Ever fuck with a man wearing an eye patch.

Serizawa and Ogata prepare to fight Godzilla

Sarizawa’s Oxygen Destroyer.

A little plastic Godzilla in agony

Never. Ever fuck with a man wearing an eye patch.

Godzilla will return in GODZILLA RAIDS AGAIN!
