SOME THOUGHTS:
• The 20-minute sound tsunami reminded me of the Beyond The Infinite: Part One sequence from 2001: A Space Odyssey. Like an alternate soundtrack.
• As a younger man I didn't realize you can actually hear the music better with earplugs.
• Many, many people have no idea how to wear earplugs. Just lightly placing them in your ear does almost no good.
• The Santa Monica Civic Auditorium is a mickey-mouse operation.
• The Santa Monica Police, however, are pretty cool.
• L.A. Times story
